Why am I directed to production when I click on links in the sandbox?

At times, when browsing Sandbox link, you may be directed to production. Most of these links are promotional and marketing related. All "functional" links in the Sandbox should stay in the sandbox.
You will always see a "Developers Program" header at the top of all Sandbox pages, so you know when you are still in the Sandbox.
