If I have a list of sellers to exclude and some of those seller IDs were no longer valid, Finding API calls fail. Is this expected?

This is expected behavior. Validation is performed on the SellerID field. If this fails, the Finding Service is designed to block any response. The reason for this behavior is to ensure that the response is relevant to the request.
Currently, this is not happening on the site search.
