eBay Connect 2021
This year we kick-off our annual eBay Connect Developer Conference virtually. We are still in the global pandemic and our first priority is to keep our community - our developers and employees - safe. We also wanted to give our developers updates on the program and how to get prepared for all the upcoming changes. Over the next two months, we will host webinars, publish content and give you an inside look at eBay’s newest APIs and future initiatives. 2021 Star Developer Awards
eBay’s Star Developer awards celebrate the adoption of our APIs, innovation and growth. This year, there were two categories:
- Early Adopter Award
- Rapid Growth Award
For these awards, we considered all 3rd-party developers who participate in the developers program, contribute to eBay business initiatives, use our APIs in a productive way, and bring value to eBay and our buyers and sellers.
Early Adopter Award
This year's Early Adopter Award was presented to Volo Commerce who provides an ecommerce service platform to a range of merchants, retailers and brands to sell and grow on eBay through their core services. Since joining our developers program in 2010, Volo Commerce has continued to drive eBay initiatives. In addition, they have been a fantastic partner for our NHS PPE portal managing the seller's side. Volo’s developers volunteered hundreds of hours of their time to build and maintain the connections necessary for this enormous undertaking.
Rapid Growth Award
The Rapid Growth Award went to Altviolet LLC, a US-based publisher that has been an eBay affiliate since company founders met in 2008 while working as software developers. This company has years of experience working with the eBay APIs and they have used this knowledge to bring value to the eBay Partner Network and drive revenue. In 2020, they pioneered Bing PLA activity together with a small selection of other PLA publishers and have successfully run the activity in the USA and Australia.
