CloseReturnReasonEnum

This enumerated type lists all possible reasons that a buyer can give for canceling a return request. A buyer would typically close a return request after they receive a refund, a replacement item, or if they initiated the return request by mistake.

Enumeration Values

Value Description
AUTO_PARTIAL_REFUNDED Indicates the return was closed after eBay automatically issued a partial refund to the buyer.
AUTO_REFUNDED Indicates the return was closed after eBay automatically issued a full refund to the buyer.
BUYER_CLOSED Indicates the return was closed by the buyer.
BUYER_NO_ACTION Indicates the return was closed because there was no evidence of activity from the buyer in the system.
BUYER_PAYOUT Indicates the return was closed because the buyer was paid out.
BUYER_PAYOUT_FAILED Indicates the return was closed because the payout to the buyer failed.
ESCALATED Indicates the return was closed because the buyer escalated the return request into a case.
FULL_REFUNDED Indicates the return was closed after the buyer received a full refund from the seller.
FULL_REFUNDED_BY_DISPOSITION_RULE Indicates the return was closed because the buyer was auto-refunded by eBay.
MARK_PARTIAL_REFUND_RECEIVED Indicates the return was closed because the buyer marked the partial refund as received.
MARK_REFUND_RECEIVED Indicates the return was closed because the buyer marked the full refund as received.
MARK_REFUND_RECEIVED_TIMEOUT Indicates the return was closed because the buyer attempted to mark the refund as received, but the operation timed out.
OTHER Indicates the buyer's reason for closing the case is undefined.
PARTIALLY_REFUNDED Indicates the return was closed after the buyer received a mutually agreed upon partial refund.
REFUND_TIMEOUT Indicates the return was closed because the system timed out waiting for the seller to refund the buyer.
REPLACED Indicates the return was closed because the seller replaced the item.
REPLACEMENT_PAYOUT_RECOUP Indicates the return was closed after eBay paid out the seller for the auto-refund after the seller sent the buyer a replacement item.
REQUEST_DECLINED Indicates the return was closed because the request was declined.
REQUEST_TIMEOUT Indicates the return was closed because the request timed out.
RETURN_REJECTED Indicates the return was closed because the request was rejected by eBay.
SELLER_INVOICED Indicates the return was closed because the seller was invoiced.
SELLER_PAYOUT_FAILED Indicates the return was closed because the payout to the seller failed.
SHIPMENT_TIMEOUT Indicates the return was closed because the system timed out waiting for return shipment information from the buyer.
STORE_CREDIT_REFUNDED Indicates the return was closed after the seller provided store credit to the buyer to compensate for the returned item.
