Customizing the End Of Auction (and Winning buyer notification) email sent by eBay

Can I change or customize the email that eBay sends to the buyer when a purchase is made?

Summary

It is now possible to customize the email that eBay sends to the buyer when a purchase is made.

This help page briefly describes customizing the End of Auction email.

The steps outlined below work in both the Production and Sandbox environments.
For the Sandbox equivalent of the instructions below,
simply change the URL you start at to http://my.sandbox.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyeBay

Here are the steps if you are subscribed to Selling Manager Pro:

1. Log into MyeBay:  http://my.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyeBay
2. If you are subscribed to Selling Manager Pro, then click on the link in the left hand navigation bar titled Automation Preferences
3. In the Automated Email for Buyers section, you will see a link titled customize the End of Auction email
4. You will also see a link titled Edit Winning Buyer Notification template
5. Please note that there is a list of emails (templates) that can be customized from this Automated Email for Buyers section.

Here are the steps if you are subscribed to Selling Manager (not Pro):

1. Log into MyeBay: http://my.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyeBay
2. If you are subscribed to Selling Manager, then click on the link in the left hand navigation bar titled Marketing Tools
3. In the left hand navigation area, you will see a link titled Customize End of Auction Emails
4. You will see a link titled Change
5. Please note that in the left hand navigation area, there is also a link titled Customize Checkout and Invoice that allows you to customize other eBay emails.

Here are the steps if you are not subscribed to any Selling Manager service:

1. Log into MyeBay: http://my.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyeBay
2. If you are subscribed to Selling Manager, then click on the link in the left hand navigation bar titled Marketing Tools
3. In the left hand navigation area, you will see a link titled Customize End of Auction Emails
4. You will see a link titled Change
5. Please note that in the left hand navigation area, there is also a link titled Customize Checkout and Invoice that allows you to customize other eBay emails.
