The large amounts of time spent on post-sales can be exhausting as well as undercut the bottom line. eBay Sellers need a reliable and efficient system for handling sales once the buyer has completed checkout so they don’t have to manually type addresses and send individual email updates to buyers. ShipRush has helped streamline the post-sale process, leaving sellers more time to devote to building their sales.
For example, Mike Abbey of kimiblue – who has been selling consumer electronics and computers on eBay since 2001 – was using three different shipping programs. “Label generation alone was honestly taking up the bulk of my shipping time. I spent about five minutes per label and follow-up e-mail to each buyer,” says Abbey.
One day Abbey received an e-mail from FedEx recommending ShipRush to assist in faster and easier post-sale management. He signed up and downloaded the free ShipRush for FedEx software.

Rafael Zimberoff, ShipRush Product Manager, has been making shipping software for over 10 years. With the popularity of the Internet increasing in the late ‘90s, Z-Firm saw that sellers needed help with online shipping options. Z-Firm decided to create the ShipRush tool, which allows eBay sellers to print shipping labels, create packing lists, send buyers the tracking number and shipment date via e-mail and provide the seller with feedback. “We have had clients tell us they are able to cut their time in half with the ShipRush tool,” says Zimberoff. “Sellers can grow their business significantly without adding staff since they don’t have to print labels by hand anymore.”
ShipRush makes it easy for sellers to use FedEx and the Postal Service for domestic and international shipping, even though FedEx
is not integrated on the eBay site. The tool helps bring large-firm automation to smaller businesses. |

The eBay Developers Program has simplified the eBay API by decreasing the learning curve for new developers and increasing the innovation from existing developers such as Z-Firm. The ShipRush application uses the eBay API to pull already checked-out items, update transactions with the tracking number, ship the product and leave the buyer feedback.
ShipRush makes shipping easy and fast for eBay sellers and PayPal merchants. The tool is free to download and use off the eBay Seller Solutions Directory page. The only costs are carrier shipping charges. “Just download it and use it. If you have any questions, give us a call,” says Zimberoff.
There are some new features on the horizon for ShipRush, which include the addition of the My.ShipRush Web portal, which allows sellers to see all shipping history. More about this new feature will be revealed during the upcoming Selling Manager Applications launch this summer. |
