With ahTEXT, eBay sellers can be stuck in traffic or at a client lunch and get listings directly on their mobile phones. The moment that a seller receives a question, offer, sale, or even customer feedback, the seller is sent a notification to their mobile phone with an SMS text message. “ahTEXT saves you time. As events take place on any of your listings, you will be notified in real-time,” says Mansilla.
The tool can be configured to send messages that only meet certain criteria. “I receive from between 40 to 70 text messages per day, which include purchases, best offers and questions. However, we have sellers that choose to receive notifications such as positive customer feedback, or sales that are above a certain dollar amount,” explains Mansilla.
The best part about this innovative tool is that it’s free to try and takes less than two minutes to register.
ahTEXT offers secure methods of responding to buyer inquiries directly over a mobile smart phone. This rapid response feature is now in beta-testing, and is expected to be available when eBay Selling Manager Applications officially launches this summer. |

| The ahTEXT application uses the eBay API platform to focus on all parts of the sale, from beginning to end. If a seller visits the Solutions Directory page on the eBay Seller site, and clicks on Activity Monitoring, ahTEXT is the third application for download. “eBay is constantly updating and improving its development tools for third-party programmers. As eBay innovates the APIs, we improve ahTEXT 's capabilities,” says Mansilla. “We have plans in development that will make ahTEXT even more powerful on the mobile front, so stay tuned,” Mansilla adds. |
