Stores Customization
Feature Type:
New Feature

Anticipated Launch Date:
January 2005

Developer Impact:
Stores Customization will impact all Developers who offer listing tools for eBay Stores. This project affects all Item-related API calls (e.g., AddItem) for Stores listings, in addition to the SetStore API call. Developers integrating these features into their Stores listing applications will also be required to make minor user interface changes to their applications. This project affects all eBay Sites.
Changes to the "Get" and "Set" Item-related API calls are being made in order to enable Stores Sellers to list Store Inventory items in two categories instead of just one. Changes to the SetStore API call will enable Sellers to upgrade their Store to an Anchor Store subscription.

Feature Description:
This project enables Sellers to add a second category for their eBay Store listings; previously, Stores items were limited to only one category. Additionally, Sellers will now be able to register for or upgrade to an Anchor Store tier subscription. Anchor Store upgrades and registrations previously required interaction with eBay Customer Support.
Other enhancements include the ability for Sellers to display the establishment date of their store on the Store header. This date will correspond with the most recent subscription date for their Store.

Feature Benefits:
As a result of doubling the number of categories within which Store Inventory can be listed, Sellers will now be able to improve the exposure of listings within their Store. Additionally, Sellers do not have to wait for a response from eBay Customer Support to upgrade to or register for an Anchor Store.
