Currently, eBay Sellers do not have an efficient mechanism to use to programmatically send invoices to Buyers via API applications. The SendInvoice API call now enables Sellers to send invoices for sold items directly from within an API application as opposed to via My eBay.

The SendInvoice API provides Sellers with greater control over their End of Auction transaction processing and inventory and billing management capabilities. It will help to ensure that closed items are paid for as soon as possible after an auction or item closes on eBay. Additionally, Buyers benefit by receiving an invoice that provides the with clear instructions on the amount to pay for the won item.
