This release brings the SOAP and New XML API call set into 100% parity with the calls available in the Legacy XML API.
 
Feature Description:
 
New Calls
 
The following calls have been migrated to the new unified schema:
 
  • GetDescriptionTemplates
  • GetAdFormatLeads
  • GeteBayDetails-> will be released early on 8/29/05; Please see SOAP Documenation version e423
  • GetBidderList
In addition, the following new calls and notifications are now available in the new unified schema:
 
  • GetPopularKeywords (access top keywords, category by category)
  • Items Not Received notifications (receive a notification when a buyer opens, responds to or closes an Item Not received or a Dispute; receive a notification when a seller reponds to an Item Not Received or a Dispute)
 
Enhanced Calls
 
This release enhances the following SOAP and New XML API calls:
 
  • GetItemTransactions: (Added information about the order which contains the transaction (if any)
  • GetSellerList: (added WatchCount to the returned items, Added information about the order which contains the transaction (if any)
  • GetSellerEvents: (added WatchCount to the returned items)
  • GetSearchResults: (new sort options, expand search results based on predetermined criteria, retrieve less data per item)
 
Feature Benefits:
 
This release brings the SOAP API and New XML API call set to parity with API calls available in the Legacy XML API. It also enhances existing calls and adds new features that are only available in the new unified schema. Read more about the SOAP API. The SOAP API is fully compatible with the New XML API. All developers using the Legacy XML API or any version of the eBay SDK for Windows based on the Legacy XML API (Version 2.6 or earlier) are required to migrate. The Legacy XML API will be deprecated in June 2006.
