eBay SDK for Windows 3.0
Feature Type:

Software Developer Kit

Anticipated Launch Date:

July 2005

Developer Impact:

The eBay SDK for Windows makes integrating your application with eBay Web Services quick and easy, and is built using the unified schema. Previous versions were built on the legacy schema which will be deprecated and will no longer function come June 2006. Applications developed using the SDK for Windows prior to version 3.0 are required to migrate to the unified schema (aka new schema).

Read more about Schema Migration.

Feature Description:

eBay SDK for Windows 3.0 contains API call and attribute libraries as well as a sample database which demonstrates the synchronizing of eBay data between eBay and the developer's database. Due to the re-write of the SDK using the unified schema (aka new schema), the 3.0 version is NOT backwards compatible with prior versions of the SDK for Windows.

Feature Benefits:

The SDK for Windows 3.0:

  • Now supports features and functionality of v411 of the eBay SOAP API
  • Improved SDK libraries are cleaner and easier to use because they’re based on the new schema
  • API library source code is now available to provide more flexibility for your specific development needs
  • Some of the sample code is now split out into smaller samples to facilitate easier understanding and re-use
