New API Shipping Options Available to Support Fair Shipping

Changes to the eBay site and API to encourage fair shipping prices and improve buyer experience will soon be live.  These changes were previously announced to the developer community in August.  Specific changes affecting the API are as follows:

• PricePlusShipping sort options now available via GetSearchResults, GetCategoryListings, and FindItemsAdvanced.
• BestMatch sort option will factor in the item's shipping price and the sellers 'Detailed Seller Ratings' into it's relevance algorithm

To prepare for this feature, eBay sellers are encouraged to include at least one valid ShippingServiceOption in listings.  For more details on how to list items with Shipping information, see the Determining Shipping Costs documentation section.  Items that do not specify shipping information using the ShippingServiceOption feature may sorted lower than expected in eBay search results.
