Searching for Pre-filled Item Information

This chapter describes the calls you use and the steps you need to perform in order to search for catalog product information. Specifically, it describes how to work with GetProductSearchResultsCall, GetProductFamilyMembersCall, GetProductSellingPagesCall, and the product search and rendering functionality provided by the Attributes Library.

Before reading this chapter, you should be familiar with the basic definitions of attributes, characteristics, characteristic sets, and catalog products as described in Working with Attribute-Based Features. You also should be familiar with how to retrieve and store the meta-data returned from GetProductSearchPageCall and GetProductFinderCall (and, optionally, GetProductFinderXSLCall), either directly or by using the Attributes Library.
